CCP’s Global Times reports the declaration of reciprocal sanctions against Sen. Marco Rubio, Sen. Ted Cruz, and Ambassador Samuel Brownback in response to a similar move upon 4 officials related to the suppression of freedom in Xinjiang. The notorious spokeswoman of the Foreign Affairs of the CCP, Hua Chun-ying, confirmed that these measures were an objection against the American gross intervention into internal affairs.
Such move indeed may be shrewd in the media war. Hong Kong youngsters had been brutally beaten, disappeared, allegedly raped or murdered during the protests against the extradition bill. They sought for their freedom fearlessly for they had hope in the U.S. which they thought would stand with them to protect the universal value together and they were waving American national flags looking for its help yet apart from verbal accusations, there was no substantive action taken by the U.S.. People in Hong Kong have not got the help and now an even more draconian national security law had been put into force.
Although the US imposed sanction upon 4 officials who persecuted the Uyghur, which can barely help the people in Hong Kong escape from the cruelty of the CCP, the US still presents to be weak and timid in defending liberty around the world. And the CCP is glad to take the advantage of this slow and powerless action from the U.S., which encourages it to be bolder and greedier. By imposing punitive measures on the 3 prominent American figures, the CCP successfully creates an image of being powerful that could yield admiration and applause among the Chinese and those thuggish countries, which supported the national security law of Hong Kong in the UN.
As long as the U.S. government keeps the same speed of reaction towards the CCP’s totalitarianism, the CCP will continue killing people in Hong Kong, Tibet, Xinjiang and using its biological weapon – the virus – to kill tens of thousands of people in the U.S. To keep everything short, the U.S. must take ACTIONS!
