Highlights of Lude Media (Night)-March 17, 2021:

• During Korea-U.S. Foreign Ministers’ meeting, Secretary Antony J. Blinken took a tough tone on the People’s Republic of China(PRC) stating, “We must stand with people demanding their fundamental rights and freedoms and against those who repress them,” such as PRC and North Korea.

o “China uses coercion and aggression to systematically erode autonomy in Hong Kong, undercut democracy in Taiwan, abuse human rights in Xinjiang and Tibet, and assert maritime claims in the South China Sea that violate international law,” Blinken said at the news conference.

o The U.S. is about to cross the red lines previously drawn by Communist China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi.

o Even though North Korea is apparently an ally of the Chinese Communist Party(CCP), Kim Jong-un knows very well who is more powerful, so he did not personally step in to warn the U.S. but has his sister do so.

o The Korea-U.S. alliance is more important than ever, and it is also time to improve Korea-Japan relations.

• During an interview with the state media, the CCP Ambassador to the U.S. Cui Tiankai said he hoped the top officials meet in Alaska would come with goodwill and leave with better mutual understanding. But he stressed that the CCP would not give in or make any compromise on Hong Kong, Taiwan, Xinjiang, and Tibet.

o It feels like that the CCP had low expectations for this meeting and is now preparing the ground for the negotiations to fail.

o CCP’s bottom line thinking results in their wolf warrior diplomacy.
